Photography is more than a hobby.
It's an art.
It takes serious focus to be able to compose a picture. You want it to hit the eye just right. Some photographers prefer to capture their subject straight on, show it for what it is, no confusion or mystery.
I think I'm more of an alternative photographer. I like to photograph all the different aspects of a single object. I'll take pictures from underneath it, beside it. through it, of just one part of it. I'll take a picture of your eye or your lip instead of your full face.

Because it's only when your focus is forced to that one element that you can truly appreciate it. You can't see how beautiful an eye is when your focus is being pulled to all the other features of the face. And when you take a picture like this

you can really see what you usually wouldn't. Make out details you wouldn't have bothered to notice before.
I also like to take pictures in...unusual..settings. Like, for example, my bathtub.

Not only does it make the picture more interesting (is she really sitting in a bathtub??), the stark white background makes you focus on the person, which is what you want them to focus on. You usually don't take a picture of a person so that you can focus on the background. But you CAN! Which is why I love photography so much! The possibilities are ENDLESS. You can photograph anything if it'll stay still long enough. A lot of the pictures you'll see on here are of me, because I am my most willing subject. I know exactly what I want out of my pictures, and it can be hard to explain that to someone else. Well, I could go on...and on...and on...about this. But I think I'll wrap it up for now. Thanks for reading. Enjoy the pictures, and the perspective.
